The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation and other national data protection laws of the Member States, as well as other data protection regulations, is the European RoboCup Association e.V., represented by the Executive Board (see information at robocupeu.org), as well as the spokesperson of the RoboCup Committee Germany (see information under Contact).
2. General information
This privacy policy is intended to inform users of this website about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the above-mentioned website operator.
The website operator takes your data protection very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory regulations. Definitions of the terms used, such as âpersonal dataâ or âprocessingâ, can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.
We generally process personal data of our users only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Personal data of our users is generally processed only after the user has given consent. An exception applies in cases where obtaining prior consent is not possible for factual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by statutory provisions.
3. Access data
We, the website operator or website provider, collect data about access to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR) and store this data as server log files on the website server. The following data is logged:
â Information about the browser type and version used
â Userâs operating system
â Userâs internet service provider
â Userâs IP address
â Date and time of access

â Websites accessed by the userâs system via our website
The data is also stored in the log files of our system. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.
4. Purpose of processing
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the userâs computer. For this purpose, the userâs IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.
Storage in log files takes place to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data is used to optimize the website and ensure the security of our information technology systems. No analysis of the data for marketing purposes takes place in this context.
The personal data provided in connection with the collection of registration data for RoboCup activities is used exclusively for the organization of these activities.
These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.
5. Duration of storage
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of data collected to provide the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.
In the case of data stored in log files, this is the case after no more than seven days. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of users are deleted or anonymized so that assignment to the accessing client is no longer possible.
After the activities have been carried out, your data will be blocked from further use and deleted after expiry of the periods required by tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data.
6. Disclosure of personal data
Personal data is not disclosed to third parties.
7. Right to object and request removal
The collection of data to provide the website and the storage of data in log files is strictly necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, the user has no option to object.
